Base gas fees are the transaction costs paid to validators who process and confirm operations on the Base network. As an EIP-1559 compatible chain, Base fees consist of a base fee (adjusted dynamically per block based on network demand) plus a priority tip that incentivises faster transaction inclusion. The cost of a standard transfer (21,000 gas) varies depending on current network congestion and token price.
